During the journey, we will also observe important buildings such as the Government Palace and Cathedral Basilica, among others.

We finish the tour with a visit to the Church and Convent of San Francisco, where you will find the impressive underground crypts. At the end of the tour, we will return to the hotel. Free afternoon to discover the best restaurants and thus experience Peruvian gastronomy, so well regarded internationally.

Overnight: Lima

From 4 AM to 9:30 PM (approximately) — We will leave very early in the morning for a journey of approximately 3 hours, with a stop at an artisanal bakery, so you can enjoy fresh, warm breakfast (optional, at the customer’s expense). Then, we will board the boats that will take us to the Ballestas Islands. During the journey, we will observe the Paracas Candelabra, penguins and a wide variety of guano birds. The best part of the day will be arriving at a winery and pisco distillery with a tourist restaurant, where you will have free time to lunch on traditional typical dishes. Next, we will move to the tasting room, to sample more than five varieties of wines and piscos from the region.

After lunch, we will arrive at the Huacachina Oasis, where we will enjoy the adventure sport with sand cars (buggies), going up and down the dunes at high speed — an experience that makes us feel like we’re on a roller coaster, but in the sand. Upon reaching the top, we will descend on sand boards, a practice known as sandboarding. Afterwards, you will have free time to explore the surroundings. Around 6 PM, we will make a brief stop to use the bathroom and buy some snacks. Then we will continue to the famous city of Nazca, where we will spend the night.

Overnight: Nazca

Breakfast at the hotel.

Our team, according to weather conditions, will set a time for the transfer from the hotel to the boarding location, where we will have the opportunity to learn about the magnificent legacy left by the Pre-Incan culture, Nazca Lines. During the overflight, we will appreciate the immense figures of the monkey, hummingbird, astronaut, among others, drawn on the desert.

Flights are conducted in the Jumana Pampas, in modern Cessna 207A aircraft, piloted by professionals experienced in the region and local climate. All overflights follow strict safety standards in accordance with Peru’s Aeronautical Regulations. Additionally, our pilot will share recommendations for taking the best photos and making the most of this unique experience. After the overflight, we will continue our journey in the afternoon towards Lima, where our team will be ready upon your arrival to take you from the bus terminal to your hotel, so you can rest.

Important Note on Nazca Lines Overflight:

Overnight: Lima

Breakfast at the hotel.

Today we will transfer you from the hotel to Lima’s International Airport. We ask that you be ready at least three hours in advance of the time planned by the team.

Upon your arrival in Cusco, a city located at 3,400 meters altitude, it is normal to feel the air is slightly thinner. Therefore, our team will be waiting to pick you up and begin the adventure through the Sacred Valley of the Incas in private transport. We will make our first stop at the Taray viewpoint to appreciate the grand view of the Sacred Valley. Following the itinerary, we will visit the Pisac Archaeological Center, accompanied by our guide. We will also visit a local jewelry shop in Pisac to learn about the symbolism and mysticism present in each handcrafted piece. We will leave Pisac heading to Urubamba to reach your hotel, where you will have time to rest and enjoy the nature that the Sacred Valley offers.

⚠️ Note: During tours and trekking in Cusco, we now have Starlink satellite internet on board our transport.

Overnight: Sacred Valley of the Incas (Urubamba)

On this day, we will learn about Ollantaytambo, one of the most beautiful examples of Inca urban planning. We will depart from the hotel towards this magnificent archaeological site. After this wonderful experience, we will continue to the Moray archaeological site. Here, the Incas tested various cultivation techniques and adapted plants to different microclimates. Its circular terraces, which reach about 150 meters of difference between the highest and lowest levels, reveal the extraordinary agricultural knowledge of this civilization.

We will then proceed to the town of Maras to learn about its colonial architecture and then visit the Maras Salt Mines, where the population still extracts salt the same way the Incas did. The area has approximately 3,000 salt pools and has become a unique tourist attraction. At the end of the private tour, we will return to Urubamba for a well-deserved lunch at a recognized restaurant, with views of the Urubamba River. Then we will transfer to the hotel for a well-deserved rest for the big day tomorrow.

Overnight: Sacred Valley of the Incas (Urubamba)

Finally, the most anticipated day has arrived!

On this day, we will visit one of the Seven Wonders of the World: the impressive Inca Citadel of Machu Picchu. Our team will be at your service early on to arrange the transfer to Ollantaytambo train station, where you will board bound for Aguas Calientes. Upon arrival, our team will be waiting in the main square of Aguas Calientes, with a sign with your name, and will accompany you to board the bus (the time will be adjusted according to your ticket).

During the tour, our professional guide will share secrets, histories and mysteries in a guided tour lasting approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. After the guided visit, you will have free time to explore the site comfortably. At the end, the guide will inform you of the exact time to return to the town of Aguas Calientes, from where you will board the train again bound for Poroy or Wanchaq stations, close to the city of Cusco. Our team will be waiting upon arrival to provide your return transfer to the hotel.

FAQs

When the tour is canceled due to weather conditions, do I get a refund?
Tour cancellations due to bad weather conditions do not receive refunds, as these are factors beyond our control.

If my trip is canceled, is the Machu Picchu ticket refundable?
According to the latest updates from the Ministry of Culture, all ticket sales are final. Therefore, tickets purchased for your trip cannot be rescheduled, transferred to another date or person, and are not refundable.

During the train journey to Machu Picchu, where will my larger luggage stay?
The train company that operates the Machu Picchu route does not allow passengers to carry luggage heavier than 5 kg. Most people separate a smaller backpack for the day in Aguas Calientes and Machu Picchu, but wonder where their larger luggage will be during this time. Don’t worry about this as your luggage and belongings will be safely stored in the luggage storage of your hotel in Cusco.

Can I choose seats on the train tours?
PeruRail, the company that provides railway services in Peru, does not allow train seats to be selected. Distribution is done automatically by the company’s system.

What is the best train for Machu Picchu: Expedition or Vistadome Observatory?
We typically recommend that your journey from Cusco to Aguas Calientes be made on the Expedition train and the return on the Vistadome Observatory, for several reasons: the journey is shorter and usually takes place when it’s getting dark, so you can’t appreciate the view as much, and the Expedition is a simpler train with smaller windows. On the return, the journey lasts more than 3 hours and is made during the afternoon, so you can enjoy the larger panoramic windows of the Vistadome Observatory to appreciate the landscape. Additionally, the Vistadome has a special observation car for you to immerse yourself in the Andean landscape, is more comfortable, offers onboard services included, and has some attractions during the journey.

How long are the flights from Brazil to Peru?
Flight duration São Paulo – Lim5h 15m | Rio de Janeiro – Lim5h 30m | Porto Alegre – Lim5h | Brasília – Lim4h 35m | Curitiba – Lim4h 45m

Which airlines fly to Peru?
The companies operating the Brazil – Peru route are: Latam, SKY Airline and COPA Airlines.

On which tours are guides available in Portuguese?
Tours will be in English at Peru’s main tourist destinations: Archaeological City Tour in Cusco, Sacred Valley of the Incas and Machu Picchu. For the rest, the guide speaks Spanish (or English if necessary) slowly, so there is no difficulty in understanding.

Do packages already include train travel?
Yes, all our packages include round-trip train tickets, except for those who choose to go to Machu Picchu by trail, in which case only the return train ticket to Cusco is included.

What do I need to travel with a minor?
If the minor is traveling without their legal guardians, a completed and signed authorization document is required. For more information, visit the Federal Police website.

Is it advisable to travel to Peru with children?
Yes, there are no problems traveling to Peru with children, the country offers attractions for the whole family and all ages. Our only recommendation is to plan a lighter itinerary without many hiking tours, for example.

Is a visa required to travel to Peru?
It is not necessary, as there is an agreement called Mercosur among some South American countries, waiving the need for a visa for those traveling for tourism and business. However, passage through border posts is mandatory for all people.

Do Brazilians need a passport for Peru?
A passport is not a mandatory document for Brazilians traveling to Peru, but it can be used as long as it is valid for up to 6 months from your travel date.

What document is required for Brazilians to travel to Peru?
The only documentation required for Brazilians traveling to Peru is: the ID (RG), issued within the last 10 years and in good condition. A passport can also be used, but is not mandatory.

Is a yellow fever vaccine mandatory?
The yellow fever vaccine is not mandatory for those visiting Peru. However, it is an extra precaution, especially since it is a tropical country.

Is travel insurance necessary?
Travel insurance is not mandatory, but is extremely important, especially for tourists who choose to explore Peru’s trails or practice adventure sports in the country. To purchase the service, contact your travel agent.

What about electrical outlets and voltage in Peru?
The standard voltage in Peru is 230 volts, however some hotels have outlets with 110 volts, in which case there are transformers that reduce the voltage.

What is the best currency to use in Peru, Dollars or Nuevo Sol, and where can I exchange money?
Almost all establishments accept dollar payments, so this will be the most used currency in the country. The ideal is to have a larger amount of dollars and a smaller amount of nuevo sol, the local currency, for shopping at handicraft fairs, for example. We recommend that you bring real and exchange it in Peru, at reliable exchange houses recommended by the agency. International credit cards are also accepted by merchants.

What is the climate like in Peru?
The country’s climate is divided into two main seasons: rainy and dry. The rainy season runs from December to late March and the dry season from April to November. In the Cusco and Machu Picchu region, there is considerable temperature variation, but normally the maximum is around 20°C and the minimum near 0°C. In the Lima region, Peru’s coast, temperatures are higher, ranging from 12°C to 30°C.
